When hair transplantation was first introduced in the 1950's, it was a complicated procedure that resulted in unnatural, pluggy results. Fortunately, over the years, with the introduction of advanced instrumentation and newer techniques, specialists in this field are able to offer results that are remarkably natural.
During this patient's consultation, Doctor Rosanelli determined the donor area would provide an adequate amount of hair for transplantation.
Patient Result: This patient had a total of 2,331 grafts done over 3 session ssessions. The photo’s were taken 6 months after his last procedure. Notice that the hairline placement is conservative, appropriate for the recession in the temporal areas for a man in his 50’s.
Male Balding Resortation
During Doctor Rosanelli's evaluation of this patient's hairloss, he discussed various male balding hairloss proceedures and available alternatives. He reviewed the patient's medical history, evaluated the hairloss condition and discuss personal concerns and expectations. Factors such as age, hair characteristics, hairloss pattern and progression, and the amount and quality of donor hair provided the patient with the information needed to make the right decision for a successful restoration.
Patient Result: This photo was taken one year after second session. He had 1043 grafts total.
Hair Transplant for Male Balding

The one-on-one evaluation to determine if a hair transplant for this patient proved to be a success. The patient visited with Doctor Rosenelli for his Hairloss Consultation and received a personal treatment plan with recommendations that best suited his hair loss condition.
Patient Result: These photo's were taken 1 1/2 years after last session. This patient was 48 years old during his surgery with straight black hair with good density in his donor area. Patient had a total of 4,697 grafts done in multiple sessions.

Male Baldness
The cause of baldness is no longer a mystery. Research has confirmed that hair loss is inherited like the color of your eyes. While you were still forming in your mother's womb, your hair follicles were genetically coded. If hair loss genes were present, the hair follicles on top of your head are sensitive to the hormone dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. These hair follicles were genetically "programmed" to begin shrinking in adulthood. W hen this occurs, the hair follicles grow finer hair that is lighter in color, shorter and less deeply rooted than their predecessors.
In most cases, this "thinning hair" will progress to "baldness" when the shrinking follicles finally stop producing hair. The pattern of progression, and the extent and speed of male pattern baldness is largely dictated by genetics, hormones and age.
Patient Result: The patient's balding area took root and over a 6 month period of time in the crown area and continue to grow for the rest of the patient's life.
Treatment: Male Balding
For men, permanent baldness generally follows a specific pattern. Even in the most extensive cases, a horseshoe-shaped fringe of hair remains. This hair-bearing fringe is insensitive to the balding process and usually will last a lifetime. Because hair is genetically programmed in the hair follicle, the hair in the donor fringe area provides the basis for surgical hair restoration. These hairs, when transplanted into thinning or balding areas, will take root and grow, and continue to grow for the rest of a person's life.
Patient Result: Patient J.J had his first surgery with Dr. Rosanelli in 2003. This is the result from his first session on recreating his hairline. He had an additional procedure with Dr. Rosanelli afterwards.
